You know, there's something very strange about writing down "2010". It looks wrong. It should be "20010" or something. But that looks like binary. Minus the two.
But enough about that. Look! More blogging! Except I don't have much to talk about, but I'll press on.
My parents got themselves a new TV for the upstairs. A nice 32" flat screen. One problem it had though: the plug it comes with is three-pronged and we only had a two-pronged power outlet. Oops. So yesterday, my neighbour came over and fixed it plus someone picked up the old TV (Dad sold it for $20). So now, my parents just have to figure out how the remote works. Which is kind of painful to watch.
Spell-check is telling me "neighbour" is wrong. One of their suggestions is "thighbone". Stupid American spelling.
I finally finished a jigsaw puzzle I got for Christmas. It was Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus". I thought it was going to be easier than it was but it turns out there is a lot of skin and shell which look the same.
Mike: "Oh look, a naked chick on a clam"
Me: "Well, she was just born. A god got his penis chopped off and it fell into the ocean. She is just coming out now."
Mike: "Gross."
Mom: "....I really got to start reading some Greek Mythology"
Also: jigsaws aren't easy when you have a furry calico laying in the middle of it and swishing the pieces around with her tail. She also dug pieces OUT of the puzzle. Sigh.
So, I decided that for this season of House, I would actually watch it on TV instead of waiting for the DVD set. This was a stupid idea. They have so many damn 2 week and 3 week breaks scattered through out that it's becoming annoying to wait for new episodes. Especially when next episode looks so damn funny.
Wilson: "Everyone thinks we're gay!"
No shit, Wilson.
I had a good New Years. Tristan and I went over to his friends house and we played board games. "Simpsons: Scene It!" was mighty difficult. I don't know how they expect people to know the WRITERS of the show. Seems dumb. I kicked butt in "Smart Ass" though. Mainly because Tristan isn't good at these type of games and I usually just blurt out the first thing that seemed obvious to me and I got it right.
His friend: "He was a scientist. He was born in Germany. He was-"
Me: "EINSTEIN!"
His friend: "How the...It could have been anybody!"
His friend: "Oh, you guys will never get THIS. It is a hill. It is in Greece. There is a building on top-"
Me: "THE ACROPOLIS!"
His friend: "......the fuck?"
I like that game. :)
But over this break from House, I've gotten into a new show: Top Gear! It's a show about cars. I don't really care for cars. But it is the funniest show that I've seen in awhile. One of my favourite challenges was to make a convertible van and then test through various means including take it through a car wash. It ended with their van getting stuck and them running away while the van erupted into flames and almost burning the car wash down. HEE!
I need to go to the Cornwall Centre at some point to exchange a gift but I'm just so lazy. I'm thinking on Wednesday because the school day will end at 1:30pm so I'll be right there at the bus stop anyway. Whatever.
I don't really have much else to say so I'm ending it here! Tah!

"Thighbone" is one of the better suggestions for any word, really. Nice!
You obviously paid a lot of attention in school or while reading books or something.
But man, Einstein and Acropolis are so obvious. Tristan's friend doesn't seem to be very clever.
I thought they were obvious too. Although it does help quite a bit when you've been there.
I suppose the hill in Greece could have been Delphi but there's not really a building on top...just little temples along the way.
Whatever.
I also got "Al Capone" and "Sherlock Holmes" within two statements as well. HEE!
I have to agree with Maureen, I mean, I would have gotten Einstein right away, accept I think I would have failed on the Acropolis (you were there!). I'm not very good at that game unless theres a lot of what questions.
And simply put, Americans can't spell. Sorry Maureen.
